…Or else “Our language”.

This is a short film that reflects the specific Tsakonian language – the only modern sample of Doric dialect which is endangered.
The creators negotiate the threat brought from tourism, immigration and “mandatory” lessons in maintaining languages which withstood centuries and now are challenged to disappear within a few decades.
This sad and inevitable feeling of forgetting something is experienced by about half languages of the world, according to the UN.
This documentary is an attempt to promote the value of language and the awareness that 100 years from now, the words that we use now may no longer exist.
