Omar Cuesta was born in Havana in Cuba. He graduated from the art school, Escuela Nacional de Artes. From 18 years old began to organize various groups of traditional Cuban dances like rumba, guaguanco and florcloricos, in hotels and clubs, such as hotel Miramar, Kolih, Habana Libre, Ocidental Miramar and other famous hotels. Also in clubs Casa de la Far, El Mella, La Concha, La Tropical.

In 1986, he traveled to Mexico with the band Imagen Latina and after passing through Canada and Spain, concluded in 2002 in Greece. In Greece he collaborated with the club Palenque, with Enzzo de Cuba and the Cubanita as band member Imagen Latina.

He has taught Latin Cuban dances such as salsa, cha cha, merengue, bachata, regeton rueda de casino at many bars and clubs throughout Greece.

Since 2006 he has founded the group LosPanterasDeCuba consisting of dancers, musicians and djs.
