Challoumi (fresh and mature) is a type of cheese that is considered traditional for Cyprus. The traditional character of Halloumi cheese is evident in the important position held by this product in the lives of residents of Cyprus from the old days, and the transfer of producer knowledge from family to family, from generation to generation.
Halloumi was and still is an integral part of the diet, both for residents of Cyprus and the Cypriot immigrants living in other countries. It is ideal for baking.
