Prime Moment Quartet

The Prime Moment Quartet is a Jazz quartet with original orchestration that tries to convey the atmosphere of the golden age of the American Jazz scene in the music scenes of Athens, in which it operates. Having as a main source of inspiration the great musicians who have highlighted this music and introducing innovative elements of personal hearings of members of the quartet, produces a modern sound result of the modern European Jazz scene and the Greek music.

The quartet consists of:

Constantine was born in Athens in 1985. 2000 starts his involvement with music. He takes guitar lessons from Lefteris Christofi while he learns saxophone with the Philharmonic Band of the Municipality of Haidari. In 2003 started lessons with saxophonist Dimitri Vassilakis and since 2007 he participated in numerous ensembles including the PMQ. In 2011 he received music lessons from saxophonist John Cassette.

Alexander was born in Athens in 1981 and as a self-taught guitarist participates in rock and blues ensembles. Dealing with the Jazz guitar came later where he attended guitar lessons with Kostas Giako. He is active musically in Athens with Prime Moment Quartet and other Jazz ensembles and takes guitar lessons with Gioti Samaras.

Theodore was born in Athens in 1982. As a self-taught guitarist, at 1994 starts classical guitar lessons at Music School KONTOPEFKO at Agia Paraskevi until 2000. At 2000 receives jazz guitar lessons by George Grigorakou until 2003. Starting from 2007 with rebetiko music, he worked with renowned musicians of the Athenian scene and since 2008 study’s alone bass and at the end of 2013, takes lessons with teacher Theodore Kouelis. Alongside starts clarinet lessons – clarinet with John Disko. He composes music for theater and is an undergraduate student in the Music Department of the University of Athens

Vasilis was born in 1982 in Heraklion, Crete. At age 8 he began his musical studies with the Cretan lyra conservatory Spyros Sifogiorgakis where he graduated six years later. Influenced by his father, begins his involvement with the drums. Starting tuition Drum Vangelis Tzagkarakis in Heraklion where she participated in numerous shapes of rock bands and improvised music. Studied at Modern Music School of Athens, from where he graduated with honors. He attended private lessons with Nick Sidirokastritis and Spiros Panagiotopoulos. He has worked with various names of Greek music scene (Theodosia Tsatsou, Dimitris Poulikakos, etc.) and has participated in various known rock, jazz and folk music bands, as in musical theater performances. The shapes which he participates  today are the PMQ, Playground, George Gaudy and theatrical team of Aris Biniari.
