Sugahspank

They call her “Greek with an African voice”, and from the colour of that voice it is clear that Sugahspank is not a simple, ordinary musician. She was born and raised in Piraeus. She sings from the age of 14 and in 2008 she agitated the Greek music scene with an album that seems to have come from abroad. Her song «The Incredible, The Invisible» earned rave reviews in Greece and around the world and was voted No. 1 album of the year by many musical forms and sites. The soul, swing, funk and gospel sounds seem to be exactly what was missing from the Greek music scene.
Georgia Kalafatis, is her real name and as she has stated in an interview

“it is a reference to Sugah Galore, my band, and I like it because it has sound, sssspaaaank!”
