Ioanna Filandra was born in Athens. She studied at the Faculty of Fine Arts at the University of Coventry (Coventry University of Art & Design), in England, specializing in painting.

Her works have been exhibited in Coventry, Graham Sutherland building and the Gallery Lancaster, the London Galleries Gaze and the “Apollo Multiplex” regional unit of Piraeus for the report of Union Art Teachers.

She is a member of “Chamber of Fine Arts of Greece”, the “Compound Graduate School of Fine Arts” and “Art Teachers Union”.  Since 2005 engaged in the field of art education.
